   In The Name Of Allah, The Gracious, The Merciful

              The name AMSA is an acronym for Ahmadi Muslim Student’s Association. It was founded in 1984. The Motto of the Association is “Help the cause of Allah that you may be helped”. It has a National Body whose Office is located at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Members (both Males and Females) cut across all over Educational Institutions in Nigeria.

              The vision of the Association is to form an Association, which combines the virtues of Islamic and contemporary education, with a bend towards serving Islam and Ahmadiyyat. The mission is to build a membership base whose knowledge and leadership skills are acute, whose understanding of Islam is enviable, and who are positioned to further the goals, aspirations and objectives of the Ahmadiyyat Muslim Community as outlined by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the Imam Mahdi and Promised Messiah (as) and his successors (Khalifa).

          Our aims and objectives include;

• To infuse in the members the spirit of selfless service and sacrifice

• To foster academic excellence, moral uprightness and sound religious practices among members

• To constitute a common forum for the dissemination of knowledge and information, through organizing of symposia, lectures, seminars and annual convections

• To develop interest in social and humanitarian services and to lay the foundations of, and works towards universal brotherhood.

                The Ahmadi Muslim Students’ Association (AMSA) OAU Ife Unit was established in Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife in 1989, registered on 4th of July, 1994 and being renewed at every session. We cannot but give thanks to those, through whose effort, Allah, granted the Association an official Secretariat (Mr. Hassan Jimoh, Dr. Sunmonu L. A , Mrs Kukoyi etc.) as well as our Alumni that had in one way or the other contributed towards the progress of the Association. We are also grateful to the School Management for entrusting the Secretariat to the Association. AMSA OAU Unit’s Secretariat was awarded by the School Management and Commissioned on 12th May, 2002 by the then Sadr, Majlis Khuddam Ahmadiyya in person of Bro R. O Iromini. Our Secretariat is located at Block 1 Middle Floor Fajuyi Hall where activities such as Meeting, Praying, Reading and Learning are carried out. AMSA OAU Ife remains one of the registered Associations of this great citadel of learning. Our Meetings are carried out fortnightly on Sundays. Our activities include; sectional symposium, Orientation Programmes for fresh students, Educational and Religious Programmes, Public Service such as blood donations, visitation to prison yards and donations to motherless baby home etc.

           AMSA OAU Ife from onset has dedicated itself towards bringing the true Islam in its pristine form to the yearning aspirations of all truth seekers in this great citadel of learning.
